X-Press Legal Services brought its network together at Hogarths Solihull for its annual Academy Roadshow in October, providing an opportunity to share industry insights, strengthen relationships and explore new opportunities.
The day’s programme featured insightful presentations from the X-Press Legal Services leadership team. Dave Lister reflected on the history of Home Information Packs (HIPs), considering lessons from the past and what proposed reforms could mean for the future of home buying and selling. Christian Lister explored the provenance of property data and its evolving role in the conveyancing process, while Lynne Lister shared updates and awards from within the network.
The Roadshow also welcomed Major Scotty Mills, former Royal Marines officer and bestselling author of Never Give In, as its keynote speaker. Drawing on an extraordinary 32-year military career, including leading a Royal Marines team in an airborne invasion of Iraq, Scotty shared powerful lessons in resilience, leadership and overcoming adversity. His presentation challenged attendees to consider how mindset, determination and teamwork can help navigate challenges in their professional and personal lives.
A key part of the day was the opportunity to connect with X-Press Legal Services’ extensive supplier network, with representatives sharing their latest products, services and industry expertise. New and longstanding suppliers in attendance included PinPoint, Stewart Title UK, 4Stamp, GeoCerta, Legalito, Confirmly, Apogee Property & Utility Consultants and HM Land Registry.
As always, the Roadshow provided an opportunity to share ideas, strengthen relationships and look ahead, with the network leaving with fresh perspectives and a renewed focus on opportunities ahead.
