X-Press Legal Services has donated to not-for-profit organisation, Circus Starr to enable 50 local children to attend a circus performance in Warrington.  The children, who live with additional needs, illnesses or disabilities, or come from vulnerable or low-income backgrounds, will now enjoy a free trip to the circus with their carers.

X-Press Legal Services has supported the Cheshire based social enterprise for over 15 years, donating over £5,000 and bringing joy to children across the country.   Nearly 1.5 million UK families can’t afford a single day out together, and 50% of families with disabled children say that the stigma and discrimination they face makes them feel isolated.

Circus Starr: ‘The circus with a purpose’, aims to make a day out to the circus a possibility for any child, creating an inclusive environment where attendees can shout, dance, jump around and are encouraged to let go of their worries, get involved and be themselves.

Michelle Crossley, fundraising director for Circus Starr commented: “When we look into the audience at our shows, we see so many vulnerable children coming together and experiencing joy despite their circumstances.  Because at Circus Starr it doesn’t matter if you have additional learning needs or a disability – you can just relax and have fun!

“With X-Press Legal Services’ generous support we will be able to create happy memories in the community this year and we are incredible grateful for its kindness.”

Lynne Lister, managing director of X-Press Legal Services comments: “We are delighted to continue our support of Circus Starr, a fantastic organisation that is enriching the lives of children across the UK. The joy it brings to young children by taking them to a circus show is immeasurable, creating great experiences and memories they will cherish for their whole lives.”
