We are delighted that X-Press Legal Services has been ranked the nation’s 35th best franchise by the Elite Franchise judges, who each year choose the top 100 of the best and brightest franchises that Britain has to offer.
This is the third year Elite Franchise has been flying the flag for franchising, a sector which is quite rightly going from strength to strength. There are now nearly 50,000 franchise businesses collectively contributing over £17bn and 710,000 jobs to the UK economy, according to data from the British Franchise Association (bfa) and NatWest.
Managing director and co-founder Lynne Lister comments: “We’re thrilled to have come so high on the list in our first year of taking part in the Elite Franchise Top 100. This is an amazing achievement given the calibre of the other top British franchise names listed. It’s also a reflection of the strength of our business model and the success of our local owners. The ranking isn’t just about financials and scale but a tribute to the support that is offered to our network of business owners.
“We’re really making our presence felt and we’re incredibly proud of our X-Press Legal franchise network owners who perform an essential role in the property buying process.”
Established in 1998 by Lynne Lister, former editor of a leading UK franchise magazine and her husband Dave Lister who has a financial services background, X-Press Legal Services became a franchise in 2005 and now has a network of 26 offices run by local business owners across England and Wales.
Delivering over 400,000 property searches and reports per year to the conveyancing sector, X-Press Legal Services is trusted by more than 500 legal practices nationwide. Resilient to economic fluctuations, an X-Press Legal Services franchise is a low risk business that can be run from home with modest overheads and plenty of scope to grow into a large, office-based organisation.
