X-Press Legal Services has partnered with newly launched environmental search platform GeoCerta.

An environmental risk reporting solution, GeoCerta is designed to help conveyancers interpret complex environmental data quickly, clearly and with confidence.  The platform delivers environmental risk in a simple dashboard backed with the necessary depth of data to provide trusted, reliable advice.

“We are delighted to have added GeoCerta to our search portfolio,” commented Lynne Lister, managing director of X-Press Legal Services.  “It was clear as soon as we previewed this product that it delivers swift, in-depth reporting that so many of our clients require. As environmental risks become more frequent, severe and closely scrutinised in property transactions, our clients need reliable, compliant reporting that helps them assess risk more efficiently. GeoCerta’s reports are designed to reduce the time it takes to gain a complete and accurate understanding of environmental issues, with key information clearly presented and easy to digest.

“By transforming complex geospatial data into clear, intuitive visual formats, GeoCerta helps conveyancers and their clients understand potential environmental risks faster. The launch further strengthens our commitment to providing high-quality search and reporting solutions that support informed decision-making and help property transactions progress with greater certainty.”

Recent research from the British Geological Survey (BGS) suggests that up to 4.2 million UK properties could be affected by climate-related subsidence by 2070 as hotter, drier summers increase shrink-swell ground movement.

At the same time, the Environment Agency’s latest National Flood Risk Assessment estimates that 6.3 million properties in England are already at risk from flooding, with that figure projected to rise to around 8 million properties — or one in four — by the middle of the century.

As environmental risks become increasingly material to property transactions, access to accurate, up-to-date and clearly presented environmental intelligence has never been more important.

“We created GeoCerta because environmental searches should empower decision-making, not complicate it,” said Dan Montagnani, Founder & CEO. “The industry has access to more data than ever before, but more data alone isn’t enough. What professionals need is clarity. GeoCerta delivers comprehensive environmental intelligence in a format that is easy to understand, easy to communicate to clients and easy to act upon.”

Key features of the GeoCerta platform include:

  • Comprehensive environmental and climate risk assessment in a single report
  • Clear, intuitive report design focused on usability and fast decision-making – significantly less time for conveyancers
  • Industry-leading environmental datasets from trusted sources – operating to the CIE Standards
  • Enhanced climate risk analysis incorporating the very latest available data
  • Greater transparency around environmental risk factors affecting property transactions
  • Simplified interpretation of complex environmental information, quality over quantity
