We are absolutely delighted to announce that Tom Mannion, owner of our X-Press Legal Services office for Central, South West, and North West London is a finalist for the ‘Next Generation’ category at the bfa HSBC British Franchise Awards.
Hannah Lister, XLS director said, “Being shortlisted in this category is wonderful as it celebrates younger people and here at X-Press Legal we believe in the power of all ages being able to set up in business. Everyone can learn from each other and we are proud that our network of 27 offices all work so closely together.”
This award is for franchisees 35 and under. The judges are looking for a young franchisee, who has established a profitable franchise and achieved success beyond their years.
Tom set up his franchise office six years ago aged just 23. He has recently developed his business by providing specialist agricultural and landed estates searches. These searches are far more complex than a standard residential search and require more time, effort and experience. Issues such as public rights of way and road closures can often crop up as part of this type of search.
Tom commented, “I was so surprised to have been put forward for the awards and to become a finalist is just so rewarding. These are the Oscars of the franchise industry which highlight the exceptional contribution franchise makes to the economy”.
Andrew Brattesani, Head of Franchising at HSBC, added, “Sharing his best practice with the wider network, and winning accolades with X-Press Legal Services and getting shortlisted for external ones, Tom has excelled as a local business owner”
The awards ceremony is planned to take place at the Vox, Birmingham, on 30 November.
