Time is ticking closer until the winners of the bfa HSBC British Franchise Awards are announced. 2020 has not been the easiest and it wasn’t certain if the awards would be able to go ahead, but go ahead they are, at the British Franchise Association (bfa) ‘virtual’ annual conference and awards on the 30th November.

We are proud that Tom Mannion, owner of X-Press office for Central, South West, and North West London, has been named as a finalist for the ‘Next Generation’ category in what are considered the franchise Oscars.

This award is for franchisees 35 and under. The judges are looking for a young franchisee, who has established a profitable franchise and achieved success beyond their years.

Lynne Lister, X-Press Legal Services managing director said, “We are delighted for Tom and his team. Being shortlisted in this category is wonderful, as it celebrates younger people in franchising. Here at X-Press Legal we believe in the power of all ages being able to set up their own business. Everyone can learn from each other and we are proud that our network of 26 offices all work so closely together.”

Tom set up his X-Press Legal office six years ago, aged just 23. He has recently grown his business by providing specialist agricultural and landed estates searches. These searches can be complex involving issues such as public rights of way and road closures.

Tom commented, “I was surprised and delighted to have been nominated for the awards. To become a finalist is incredibly rewarding.”
