X-Press Legal Services Gloucestershire is preparing for a busy year of transactions in the property sector, having successfully hosted two Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events at Cheltenham Racecourse.
Attended by over 100 local property experts and conveyancers, the events provided a platform for networking and sharing invaluable insights into both residential and commercial developments in the property sector.
Led by industry experts, the CPD events delved into crucial topics, offering refreshing perspectives on changes in planning laws and industry regulations. The residential session, featuring David Keighley, Groundsure and James Warren, covered a spectrum of subjects, including leaseholder protection updates, rent charges, material Information updates, off mains drainage and climate change implications for conveyancing.
In the commercial sector, Alan Riley expertly navigated commercial landlord and tenant case law, minimum energy efficiency standards for 2024, registration gap problems, E-signatures for contracts, and recent commercial property law developments.
Emily Challinor, owner of X-Press Legal Services Gloucestershire commented, “The events had a great turnout with over 140 in attendance. It was fantastic to see local solicitors and conveyancing professionals come together to network and stay updated on key developments in the property sector.”
Emily emphasised the importance of local collaboration, advocating for business within the community and highlighting the significance of supporting all parties involved in property transactions such as local search providers, estate agents, and solicitors: “We understand the importance of continual training in such a busy industry, and it’s great that we can run these events to support the Gloucestershire property community. These events not only facilitate CPD-accredited courses but also provide a valuable opportunity for professionals to socialise, network, and stay connected with industry peers.”
